About the Leader

Harris has had extensive experience in leading mechanical services design teams from concept & feasibility through to tender & post-tender services for various types of projects which include residential, commercial, office, mixed use, hotels, hospitals, airports, laboratories, industrial buildings and academic facilities in the region.

With a strong technical background in mechanical engineering & masters in energy optimizations for buildings, Harris carries unique skill set which allows him to lead the integrated design process, focusing on practicality, regional applicability and sustainability of the design deliverable.

His core expertise lies in the design of HVAC systems for healthcare applications, where he has designed major hospitals such as the King Abdallah Medical City, Sultan Qaboos Cancer Center, King Faisal Specialist Hospital, Mediclinic Parkview Hospital. He has also designed LEED certified buildings such as the SABIC Academy & SABIC Plastics Laboratory as well as the only LEED platinum Certified net zero energy model home in the region, SABIC Home of Innovation.

Harris is accredited by the United States Green Building Council as a LEED AP and is adept in the application of the various green building rating systems.

Harris is also a certified Healthcare Facilities Design Professional (HFDP) from the American Society of Heating and Refrigeration Engineers (ASHRAE).
