Struggling Engineers, keep moving forward!
Are you a victim of Covid-19 economic recession and laid-off this year?

Have you ever felt so depressed that you feel that you couldn’t possibly feel any lower? You try your best to dig yourself out of that deep dark place but you can’t seem to get out.
Yes?
With no apparent reason, your HR department gave you a notice to vacate your desk. Perhaps due to the negative financial impact of the global pandemic within your company, they have to cut your salary by 50%.
Or maybe your school will no longer admit scholarship programs to minimize their losses and you are no longer eligible for a full-scholarship program.
I have as well, and I completely understand what you’re going through.
I know you think no one notices… but I do.
I can see through those dark auburn eyes of yours that they once had a spark, but is no longer there. You’ve been through so much pain. I can see it all, through those tired eyes.
I understand your exhaustion, and it’s not just a matter of sleeping it off. It’s the exhaustion of living in a world where you have to be strong all the time, hiding all those tears, days and months full of anxiety, depression, disappointment and regret.
You’re tired from fighting and doing your best just to get past everything, and I am proud of you! You’ve made it this far, bit you need to know that even warriors need to take a rest.
You’ve held yourself back so many times just to avoid conflict. You’ve swallowed your pride just to get the job done. You’ve been misunderstood so many times because of your decisions. But you know what? It’s okay to stand up for yourself once in a while.
It’s alright to show emotion. You are human, not a machine. You are entitled to feel as deep as you want and express yourself however you want.
It’s okay not to be okay.
Life may be unfair, but do know that there will always be a light at the end of this long tunnel of despair. Believe me, it’s there.
Everything you’re going through right now will end one day. Hopefully very soon because I know you’ve endured a lot.
I know you feel drained from everything, and anything doesn’t seem to make sense anymore. You feel lost and stuck in an unending maze of disappointment and doubt.
But please… hang in there.
Soon everything will fall into place.
And everything you’ve worked hard for will bear fruit.
Soon, you’ll look back and be proud of yourself for making it through all that.
Then you’ll be able to how strong you are as a person. We’re all with you on this, we struggling engineers have to stick together.
Hold on for a while longer.
