How Albert Einstein Started – A Visual Timeline

“The true sign of intelligence it not knowledge, but imagination.” – Albert Einstein

From tinkering with a compass to despising school and authority, from creating thought experiments to doing his own scientific work at his government job to showing the world the genius that he is now.

It all started with the 5-year old Einstein who was lying in bed, sick. Then his father gave him a compass to play with. Young Albert asked how it work. Like any other parent, Albert’s father would explain about how compasses work because of the earth’s magnetic field. But Albert wants to REALLY know how it worked—inside out. He wanted to visualize it.

After the compass, numerous books, and countless experiences later, Albert Einstein believed in his own ability and was able to conduct different thought experiments and in depth scientific researches that, little did he know, would become a basis for thousands of researchers in the scientific field today.

No one could have said this better…
