Engineers should visit the smart buildings in Dubai and Doha this year.
According to a new survey done by global technology leader Honeywell, Dubai and Doha are on top of the list for cities with the “smartest” buildings across the Middle East.

The Honeywell Smart Building Score is a first-of-its-kind global index designed for the comprehensive assessment of different buildings. This was used to evaluate 620 buildings across seven major Middle East cities: Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Kuwait City and Riyadh, said a statement from the company.

More than half of the buildings they surveyed in the region had only limited connectivity and integration of building systems. The Honeywell survey, along with researchers Nielsen and global advisors Ernst & Young, assessed airports, hotels, hospitals, office and residential buildings along with educational and retail facilities

The Honeywell Smart Building Score is a global tool. The score debuted in India in 2015 and the next launches were held in the US and China.
