World’s Hottest Math Teacher Talks About The Downside Of Being Too Handsome

Pietro Boselli, the man proclaimed as “The World’s Hottest Math Teacher” admits that there is a downside to being too good looking in the academe

What do you get when you mix extremely good looks with genius level smarts? You get Pietro Bocelli, proclaimed as “The World’s Hottest Math Teacher”. Not only does he have a great body, a modelling career, and 1.8 million Instagram followers, he’s also got a PhD in Engineering at the University College London. So in retrospect, he’s really handsome and he’s really smart, and is basically what people could define as a “perfect human being”. But amidst all the fame and recognition he’s getting, Pietro Bocelli actually admits that there’s a downside to being “too hot”.

“I don’t think there would be any direct disadvantage apart from maybe some stereotypes or the fact that people won’t necessarily focus on other aspects of your personality,” Bocelli stated during a press conference last Sunday. He admits that most people tend to look at physical appearances first, and don’t bother to look any deeper than that.

“We cannot help it. It’s obvious that if someone to you looks good, you’re more prone to being talkative to them or to approach them. When that happens, you overlook other things,” He says, after which, he then cited his experience in which he decided to keep his modelling career while still teaching in the academe. “I felt like people in academe would look down on that. Only by growing up and maturing, you will learn how to embrace every aspect of your life and see that it is amazing, that you can do things that are so different. Explore a talent that otherwise wouldn’t be explored in the academe at all” He adds.

Bocelli is currently in Manila after booking a modeling gig with Bench, a Filipino clothing brand. He was set up for a meet and greet with his fans in Manila last Sunday, and went south for another one in Davao last Tuesday.

When asked about what he thinks of the Philippines so far, he responds with “I haven’t seen much but I’ve met lots of people already. One thing I can say for sure is that their hospitality has been great. I really love the Filipino spirit. You can feel the good energy.”

Bocelli talked about his plans to travel the rest of the country after his work. “I would like to see more of Manila and some of the islands. I’d like to see the beach, the nature, the different cultural aspect of the country. That’s why I made sure that I’d stay a bit longer,” he said.
