The whole world was excited to know that the 430-meter-long glass bridge in China has opened for visitors to explore last August 20, 2016. It’s the longest and tallest glass pedestrian bridge in the world. Unfortunately, the glass bridge has closed just two weeks after opening.

Reports say that the company behind the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge explained that the bridge was “overwhelmed” by visitors. While the design is said to accommodate only 800 people, the bridge received up 8,000 visitors each day.

While people seem to doubt if the bridge is still safe to travel to, the management insists that it will only undergo an internal system upgrade. This has certainly ruined foreigners’ plans to visit the glass bridge.
