This Combo Bladeless Fan And Air Purifier Can Work With Amazon’s Alexa

Ah yes, you can finally turn on your fan and air purifier without moving from your comfy seat by voice activating it with Alexa

Dyson has just announced the newest version of their product, which is an air purifier and bladeless fan combined in one device.

Named the “Pure Hot + Cool Link Air Purifier”, it’s contains a next-generation filter with an extra layer of activated carbon coated with an antimicrobial agent. It not only filters out usual pollutants like smoke, dust, and pollen, but can also filter out harmful gasses like formaldehyde, benzene, toluene, and naphthalene.

The purifier is also WiFi connected, allowing it to sync with Dyson’s free mobile app to let you view and control the indoor temperature, air quality history, and spikes in poor air quality. This kind of information can be really helpful to users in certain situations, like showing that your air quality goes down significantly when cooking, suggesting that there are harmful pollutants in your gas burners and need to get something new and less harmful.

The purifier also automatically adjusts to pollutants in the air. One of the demos of the device has shows off this feature by spraying aerosol hairspray near it and then the fan increasing in strength as a response.

The device will also be the first of its kind to work with the Alexa voice assistant, though it needs to be enabled via the Dyson mobile able and not directly into Alexa. This feature hasn’t been launched yet, but Dyson comments that it will be coming soon.

The device comes in two different versions, a tall tower version and a small desktop version. The Pure Cool Link tower costs $499, while the Pure Hot + Cool Link desktop purifier costs $599. If you’re wondering why the smaller desktop version costs more, it’s because the desktop version has a cooling and heating function whilst the tower version only has a cooling function. The filters are of course replaceable, costing around $69.99 to replace.
