Google Wants You to Learn the New Alphabet

Don’t worry. It’s easy to remember. It just needs some getting used to.

Google wants us to learn a new alphabet and this means they’re ready to dominate the world.

Ever since they created the famous search engine company seventeen years ago, the risk-taking founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, have invested on projects such as Google Maps and Youtube. Today, they decided to give the world the biggest project they have in the moment: the Alphabet, a “collection of companies.”

Soon, a isn’t for “ant” anymore.

Alphabet will be the umbrella company for all of the business ventures Google has invested on. Each business venture is independent and has its own set of officers. This company, which started out as a web-based search engine, has branched out into different fields, including life sciences and advanced automobile systems.

There’s a huge possibility Alphabet will know more about you than you can ever imagine. But what exactly are these business ventures we’re talking about?

Alphabet, as a collection of companies, will include the following:

Google: No worries about missing the name. It’s still there. It still handles the apps we’ve all come to love and depend on such as YouTube, Google Maps and Google for Work.

Google Capital: It’s the venture capital founded back in 2013 where the company focuses on the late-stage and growth equity investments.

Google Ventures: This one has helped companies such as Uber, Nest, Slack and Foundation Medicine. Basically, Google Ventures funds ambitious projects that want to make this world a better place.

Google Fiber: With an internet connection that’s up to 1000 megabits per second, we’ll be browsing the web, downloading stuff and watching our favorite shows faster than you can say “woah!” Too bad it’s only limited to a few cities in the US (for now).

Nest: They want you to see home products (that you usually take for granted) in a new light.

Calico: This one’s a bioresearch company that can discover the secret to living forever in the future. Founded back in 2013, Larry Page wanted it to be a company that focuses on “health, wellbeing and longevity.”

Google X: This company is working on advanced projects, they’ll be the biggest breakthroughs once they come out. This includes the famous self-driving car we’ve been hearing about in the news.

Google was reconstructed to Alphabet so that its investors won’t worry about the money they’re investing on the company. Alphabet will give them a clearer accountability to where their money is going and if they’ll get rich out of these projects.

Larry Page proved once again that Google (or shall we call it Alphabet now) is not and never will be a conventional company. Check out his letter on abc.xyz.

Let’s start familiarizing ourselves with the Alphabet, shall we?
