For over two decades, the Philippine World Building and Construction Expo has served as a pillar of innovation for the industry. As it gears up for its 25th anniversary in March 2020, it is committed to present another groundbreaking installment while ensuring its accessibility as part of its mission to champion inclusive growth. In this regard, WORLDBEX is thrilled to present its early bird rates for one of its key show highlights – the WORLDBEX Seminars.
An iconic WORLDBEX staple, the Worldbex Seminars are CPD-accredited seminars that have long catered to architects, engineers, interior designers, and other peers in the industry. Each year, the Worldbex Seminars would center around relevant and timely themes that address the most pressing issues faced by both the industry and the urban community. From the latest industry trends to infrastructural problems that threaten to stunt progress development, experts are then invited to weigh in on the matters at hand and provide their much-needed insights.
This year, Worldbex Seminars is back to serve as a platform where members of the industry can come together and obtain the information and knowledge they need to continue moving forward. Set to happen on March 19 to 21, from 10:00am to 3:30pm at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), the Worldbex Seminars 2020 will prove to be a one-of-a-kind seminar as it unites 18 speakers from five different countries to provide the construction and design industry with prodigious perspectives that could very well revolutionize their respective fields.
For the first day of the seminars, under the theme of Urban Planning and Sustainability, the guest speakers are Arch. Felino Palafox, Dato’ Faris Yahaya from Malaysia, and Paulo Alcazaren. A panel discussion will likewise be held on the same day with lead discussants Daniel Lichauco, Cathy Saldana, and Paul Collins from the UK.
On day two, under the theme of Green Architecture and Interior Design, the guest speakers are Carmelito Tatlonghari, Jean Sebastien Bourdages from Canada, and Arch. Rattapong Angkasith, PhD from Thailand. Meanwhile, the panel discussions for the day will be led by Chat Fores, IDr. Isabella Miaja from France, and Eggarat Wongcharit from Thailand.
For the third and final day, under the theme of project management and Philippine development, the guest speakers are Ts. Ir. Han Liang Hwang from Malaysia and John Covello from Singapore. A panel discussion will be held as well, which will be led by President and CEO of BCDA Vivencio Dizon, Architect Royal Pineda, and Architect Antonio “Budji” Layug, and DPWH Secretary Mark Villar.
For professionals, the early bird rates are P2,850 until January 15, 2020; P4,850 from January 16 to February 15, 2020; and P7,00 from February 16, 2020 onwards. For students, the early bird rates are P2,850 until January 15, 2020 and P3,500 from January 16, 2020 onwards. Students must present a valid student ID (not expired) upon onsite registration. Payments must be settled on or before February 16 to confirm one’s seat.
