The 2021 WSOP was one of the biggest events in poker, and it attracted interest from far and wide. One thing that everyone wanted to try to get their hands on if possible was one of the WSOP bracelets. These are a prize that many wish to claim at some point. What is a WSOP Bracelet?

WSOP bracelets have been given out pretty much since the start of the tournament – except for in the very early days when a trophy was given out. It is a bracelet of gold and precious stones, making it somewhat valuable in construction, but its construction value is nothing compared to what it means for poker players to win.

The number of bracelets over the years has increased dramatically. In 1990, there were only 14 bracelets up for grabs. In the Main Event in 2021, there were 88 bracelet events, and this number does not include the other chances to win a WSOP bracelet that players can find throughout the year. It is one of the most coveted prizes in poker. Though you might have won tournaments and titles all over the planet with your poker skills, if you don’t have at least one bracelet behind you it is all that people will notice about your achievements.

How Do You Win a WSOP Bracelet?

Winning a WSOP bracelet is quite simple – you just have to find the right game! Don’t think that you have to play in the Main Event to be able to pick up a WSOP bracelet. This is the easiest place to do so because there are so many events that you could choose to enter (if you can afford the buy-ins).

However, you can also play online nowadays. The WSOP’s official online partner ggpoker.com offers bracelet games for online players. You might also be able to find bracelet games amongst some of the satellite games at WSOP tournaments throughout the year, but this is much more difficult. It is easier by far to find a bracelet game at the Main Event, though you will have some stiff competition on your hands.

What Were Some of the Big Wins from the 2021 WSOP?

With 88 bracelet events underway at the 2021 WSOP, there was no denying that there were some amazing chances for someone to land a fantastic win on their way to victory. One such player was Phil Hellmuth. He secured his sixteenth bracelet and extended his lead as the player with the most bracelet wins in history. For a moment, it looked like he was maybe going to get a seventeenth too, but was then pipped to the post by Adam Friedman as he collected his fourth.

In addition to this, Koray Aldemir collected his first bracelet as he won at the Final Table after a grueling 223 hands. His battle with George Holmes will no doubt go down in the history books amongst the classic poker matches!

The number of bracelet events has only grown year on year. Though we can collect 88 at the main event, it should not be too long before we cross the 100 thresholds. They are an amazing prize and can be a true indicator of someone’s skills. Many poker players will fight and hone their skills just to be able to collect one at some point in their careers. If you are searching for something that is a true representative of the best of the best in the world of poker, you will definitely find it in the bracelet!
