Starbucks just created a mobile app where you can order your favorite drink and pick it up as soon as it’s ready. The app was first tested in Portland last December 2014 and the company has plans of expanding its services to over 7,400 Starbucks stores across the US.

The mobile app allows you to find the nearest store for you. It even allows you to give tips to your baristas and download receipts. However, it still has to develop a feature that allows its users to know how many orders are in front of them.  At least you don’t have to stand in line though.

Don’t worry about your coffee’s quality. Starbucks ensures that orders from the mobile app are “freshly prepared and ready for pick-up in the bar area.”

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz shared that the company receives around 9 million orders from the mobile app every week. That’s 20 percent of its in-store sales! This just proves that Starbucks dominated mobile commerce last 2015.

Isn’t it cool how mobile technology is making our lives more convenient and companies like Starbucks even richer? This company is clearly a leader of making good business through mobile apps. The fact that it’s getting one-fifth of its transactions from its mobile app, other companies can learn a thing or two from Starbucks.
