Technologies are Disrupting the Manufacturing Industry

Smart Factories

Manufacturing Industry

The products from the manufacturing line, especially in the consumer electronics sector, has come a long way since their very first versions decades ago. Everything is now modernized and complete with working features. Take the cellular phone, for example. From smaller screens to HD screens and from physical keypads to virtual keyboards, the mobile phones are more than just a phone today; it has evolved to something else entirely.

This is all thanks to the emerging technologies that have disrupted the manufacturing industry for the better. Sensors paired with the Internet of Things, cloud technology, and data analytics prove to be of significant use in the assembly line. Combining this power with innovative suggestions and feedback from customers and stockholders, manufacturers are now producing products in the most intuitive and faster way possible.

Dog Mode

Just recently, Elon Musk added a creative and innovative feature in their Tesla cars just because of a tweet from a user. The “Dog Mode” feature has changed the lives of dog owners everywhere, and it is all because the owner of Tesla can be reached easily through social media.

Streamline Process

The increased technology in the workplace also accounts for a streamlined process and better decision-making as managers and superiors need not have to be personally present at the manufacturing line to understand the happenings at the factory.

All they need are apps and software to see the collected data from the assembly line.

Manufacturing 4.0

The industrial heavy equipment, OEM, machineries, FMCG, semi-conductor, pharmaceutical, food and agricultural manufacturing companies nowadays are being converted to smart factories dominated by various technologies, and it is safe to say that what comes from the manufacturing line each time is a more advanced version of its predecessor.

To stay in the game, companies and manufacturing firms need to adjust to the digital world to accommodate the needs of their customers and at the same time, produce better revenue games for their companies.
