Each college student has subjects to hate and subjects to love.
It might be because of the professors assigned to the subjects are difficult to deal with or lousy in teaching; but more often than not it is about the subject matter itself.
The topics are too confusing to learn or the course is intensive when it comes to memorization and analysis.
CollegeStats, a website dedicated in helping students making an informed decision when choosing a college, has released data about which subjects are the most loved and hated by college students. And the results are telling.
After asking 500 undergrad and post-grad students, it showed that Calculus is both a loved and hated subject, with the latter more prevalent.
Calculus is listed as seventh in the most loved subject while prevailed as the top one most hated subject by college students.
This is not at all surprising considering that math isn’t the favorite subject of many college students, even those belonging in engineering school.
This is supported by the fact that statistics and algebra, also physics, are included as subjects liked the least.

Social sciences are among the most loved subjects like Psychology, Sociology, Economics, and Philosophy. This is joined by History, Biology, English, and even Chemistry.
Meanwhile, the list in the most hated subjects are not really that different from the most loved subjects, except for one thing: physics.
This subject, which is the foundation of engineering, can indeed be a difficult subject – which should explain why many engineering students feel a different kind of pressure in passing.
The same survey asked the college students about which classes are given the most tie commitment outside of class and which classes are best and worst to take in certain times of day.
Statistics, Algebra, Chemistry, Calculus, and Physics are among the least favorite classes with the most time commitment, while Statistics and Calculus rank the same at fourth as most favorite classes with the most time commitment.
