Exclusive interview with the Senior Vice President of Gerab National Enterprises, Essa A. Sharafi. During the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC 2017), Essa spoke to GineersNow TV about their humble beginning, latest oil & gas innovations and future plans.
About the Leader
Essa Abdullah Sharafi is an Emirati Entrepreneur. Completed his undergraduate studies at Lynn University in Florida, USA, followed by a diploma in International Law, International Relations/ Diplomacy then a Master Degree in History of Stakes, Conflicts and International Relations in Modern Times at Paris-Sorbonne University. He has specific expertise, interest, and experience in many areas including the Fiscal and Social Responsibility for Excellence and Accountability for Leading and Managing the business operations.
Essa Sharafi joined Gerab National in Sep 2015 and leads the Commercial organization with responsibility for sales, marketing, consulting, channels, and strategic planning. He has established a sales culture centered on the agility needed to keep up with open source innovation and transparency, which facilitates open and honest lines of communication with customers. In this role, Essa also leads the Operations and Business Support for the entire GCC and Iraq/ Arab Countries’ commitments for the Downstream and Upstream Activities.
Gerab has grown to become the Leading Bulk Stockist and Supplier of Seamless, Welded Pipes and Allied components in the Middle East for the Oil and Gas, Power Generation, Water Desalination, Petrochemical Process, Mining, Construction, and Ship-building industries worldwide.
Prior to that, Essa held management positions as Head of Category Management, Raw Material at Emirates Steel Industries; reviewing and strategizing the supply chain operations activities, and performance management.
He started his career in Dolphin Energy Limited. Essa fulfilled his role as a Gas Sales Officer in the Marketing Division.
