About The Leader
Darrel began his career in a multi-disciplinary building consultancy following the completion of a degree in mechanical engineering. Subsequently he completed an advanced education program in building services engineering, culminating in the receipt of a master’s degree in this field. He achieved chartered engineer status and undertook a variety of assignments as a project manager managing the technical and financial aspects of projects. Darrel has gained significant experience in building services engineering for a range of commercial and industrial projects, in both the UK and overseas. His experience includes design for Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) systems for buildings, as well as other related areas including fire engineering, acoustics, controls & building management systems (BMS) and commissioning. As a project manager he has developed wide ranging skills in other disciplines and a good understanding of the construction process. He has nearly 10 years’ experience in senior management roles, responsible for growing business and teams against agreed targets and reporting against the success achieved. His areas of expertise include Operations Management; Project Management; Mechanical Engineering and Sustainability.
