About the Leader
As an Arab-Canadian, Moe has spent his life in between Canada and the Middle East. After moving to Jordan, from Canada, in 2000 and Bahrain in 2002, Moe moved back to Canada in 2008 before finally coming to Dubai in 2016.
Moe’s interest in sustainable technologies began during his engineering studies at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada and continued to evolve during his time at international companies such as Husky Energy and Jacobs. In his pursuit of a greater good and seeking to challenge the status quo, Moe made the switch from Chemical Engineering to his current role as Business Development Manager at Taka Solutions where he strives to do his part in growing an emerging industry and deliver comprehensive energy solutions to his clients every day.
About the Company
Taka Solutions was founded by two former flat mates, Charles Blaschke and Chris Burkhardt. Prior to Taka Solutions, Chris was predominantly working in Business Development, Operations and Finance, whilst Charles was part of a technology consulting firm in Abu Dhabi. It was during this time that Charles realized the potential to save huge amounts of energy from the existing buildings in the region. It was this epiphany that led to the birth of Taka Solutions in 2013.

After the realization that buildings account for around 40% of the world’s energy consumption and the average building consumes twice as much energy as it should, our goal has been simply to cut the world’s energy consumption by 20% through technology, engineering and finance.
