ICONIQ has raised significant funding from well-established private, publicly listed, and state-owned investment groups. The capital is being used to develop ICONIQ’s electric vehicle platform and its first model, SEVEN.

With a futuristic exterior design, crafted by partner, W Motors, and an intelligent, connected vehicle platform, based on Microsoft’s AZURE cloud technology, SEVEN is positioned as a ‘SPV’— Smart Passenger Vehicle.

The SEVEN made its international motor show debut at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2017 and has since been exhibited at other mobility events and forums.

On January 15th, at the 2018 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), ICONIQ joined Masdar City to showcase its technology, at the largest sustainability event in the region.

Alongside the SEVEN, ICONIQ displayed its L5 autonomous driving concept, which will undergo tests at Masdar City, a leading sustainability and innovation hub which has electric mobility and autonomous driving at the center of its development strategy.

ICONIQ and Masdar signed an MoU in which both partners will leverage the city’s role as a test bed and platform for innovation, to provide autonomous testing of the ICONIQ L5.

On January 14th, the day before the start of ADSW, ICONIQ also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Abu Dhabi Motors to establish a distribution partnership in the UAE.

As one of the largest retailers of premium passenger cars in the Middle East, Abu Dhabi Motors is a major force in the regions automotive sector and will be a key strategic partner for the ICONIQ brand.
