About The Leader

Brendan is the head of management consulting for the Middle East.  He focuses on managing teams which provide analysis and strategic advice to government and private organisations.

His recent projects include developing the framework for the new spot electricity market Oman, developing Abu Dhabi’s future capacity expansion plan and preparing a renewable market entry strategy for a government GCC entity.

Brendan was previously part of the management team in Pöyry’s UK office working with organisations engaged in European electricity markets.  He has advised on over 35GW of transactions and greenfield projects including CCGT, OCGT, coal, waste, CCS, nuclear, wind and solar.

Brendan’s insights on global energy markets are highly respected within the industry.  Brendan is regularly quoted in the trade and mainstream press. He was previously a member of the Irish Wind Energy Association’s Markets Committee and EnergyUK’s European committee.

Brendan is a Chartered Engineer and has an MPhil in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and a Diploma in Economics from the LSE.
