About the Leader

President and Chief Executive Officer, Xylem Inc.

Since March 2014, Mr. Decker has been serving as both president and chief executive officer of Xylem where he is also a member of its Board of Directors.

Before he acquired the top position in Xylem, he has previously served different executive and leadership positions. One of which is in Harsco Corporation, a global industrial services company where he held the same position in 2012. Prior to that he was also the former president of Tyco Flow Control, a $4 billion leader in industrial flow control solutions wherein he led an effort to separate the Flow Control business from the parent company. Aside from that, he succeeded in executing the company’s largest acquisitions in Brazil and the Middle East and champion philanthropic commitment to clean water access for three years. He has done all these while growing the company’s revenue in emerging markets.

Decker’s experiences are also noteworthy. For more than a decade, he attained many responsible financial leadership positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb Company including those in Latin America and Asia from a humble auditor position for Price Waterhouse LLP, now PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP.

Extending his expertise to his alma mater, he currently serves as advisory council for the Dean of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana where he finished his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance.
