Pizza Hut Creates The World’s First Playable DJ Pizza Box

Put the needle on the record

Pizza Hut has thought of a gimmick that’s sure to entice all music lovers. They just created the “world’s first playable DJ pizza box”, which is basically a cardboard container with touch-sensitive decks, a mixer and control buttons.

This cool cardboard mixer was created by printed electronics expert Novalia. The box is battery-powered and it connects to your computer or smartphone via Bluetooth. Since it’s a mixer, it will have to be compatible with DJ softwares like Serato DJ. Rinse FM’s DJ Vectra demonstrates how to use this playable pizza box in the video below.

You can scratch, rewind, control the pitch, and crossfade. Pizza Hut says that they will be giving a small number of them away. Unfortunately they will only be limited to just 5 for Pizza Hut’s 350 UK restaurants. So, if you happen to be in the area, keep an eye on Pizza Hut’s official UK Twitter feed to see where these could be available.
