German motoring TV show “Grip” filmed a badass speed test between an ultra-high performance stunt plane and a Porsche 918 Spyder.
The TV show put a Porsche 918 supercar head to head with a Zivko Edge 540 super plane in two different challenges. The racers would get the opportunity to experience the other vehicle as well. Both challenges will require a high-speed chase down a runway and will be followed by a tight pylon turnback to the finish line. This competition is intense!
The 918 Spyder is Porsche’s fastest car. It as a 608 horsepower V-8 way out in the rear, and it is supplemented by two electric motors which will each drive the front and rear wheels. While the Ultra-light Zivko Edge 540 race plane is fitted with a modified Lycoming aerobatic engine that brings out 340 horsepower. So which one do you think will win? Not everyone can understand German, but the intense competition is worth watching. Here’s the video:
