Some textbook materials are still the most efficient way on how to become an effective leader. It won’t hurt going to the library or bookstore and find classic leadership books that will instill in your mind values of engineering leaders.

5. Engineers, Fill Your Gaps

It’s also about being able to know where you lack in terms of skills and talents. If you have sides of you being an engineer that needs to work on, focus on that first. You will make use of that once you will be in a higher position since you will be all around by then.
