Robotic Tap Dance
Visual artist Peter William Holden has always been anxious to eradicate the boundaries between the world of cinematography and sculpture. This is when he started working with computers that has robotic elements to create kinetic sculptures. He considers these kinetic sculptures to be the medium he works with and is a necessary step for him to achieve what he believes is the “true focal point” of his work. That focal point is the ephemeral animations or choreographies which are created when sculptures are in motion.
These works of art are simply stunning. This is definitely one of the best examples of the collision of science and art.
