Metaverse is undoubtedly a game-changer.  Though it is still in its infancy, it is evident that the metaverse will fundamentally alter how we interact online, how companies advertise, how quickly cryptocurrency is accepted, and a variety of other aspects of life.

It’s difficult to define a real “metaverse,” except that it’s kind of like the internet but fancier. As Facebook describes it, the metaverse is a “set of virtual spaces where you can create and explore with other people who aren’t in the same physical space as you.”

In broad terms, the technologies that comprise the metaverse include virtual reality—which is distinguished by persistent virtual worlds that remain even when you are not playing—as well as augmented reality, which merges features of the digital and physical worlds. It is not necessary, however, for such locations to be solely accessible through virtual reality VR or augmented reality AR. A metaversal virtual environment, such as portions of Fortnite that can be accessed through PCs, gaming consoles, and even smartphones, may exist.

Additionally, it refers to a digital economy in which users may make, purchase, and sell items. In more utopian metaverse ideas, it is interoperable, enabling you to transfer virtual objects like clothing or vehicles across platforms. In the real world, you may purchase a shirt in a mall and wear it to the movies. At the moment, the majority of platforms have virtual identities, avatars, and inventories that are platform-specific, but a metaverse may enable you to establish a persona that you can carry about as simple as you can transfer your profile image from one social network to the next.

This is the moment at which the majority of talks on the metaverse come to a halt. We have a hazy picture of what exists today in what we may loosely refer to as the metaverse, and we know which corporations are investing in the concept, but we have no clue what it is. The concepts for these futuristic scenarios vary from hopeful to fan fiction.

Zuckerberg has not specified a specific date for the debut of its metaverse, and this is not a typical product launch. According to Zuckerberg, the technology behind the Metaverse Philippines is still some time away. In fact, Meta’s news release said it’s still ten to fifteen years. This suggests that the Metaverse might launch between 2026 and 2036.
