8 Crazy and Weird Facts about Cars

Before going into the main list of crazy car facts, we must ask you: have you ever refilled blinker fluid in your car’s system?

If not, don’t bother to hit the nearest auto store and ask for it. Just google it.

If you’re done, you must’ve known by now that blinker fluid is merely a joke. And it’s more commonly known as the blinker fluid prank.

It’s not weird, but a fun fact that we thought you should know. Parents often do this prank, and kids who’ve learned to drive fall for it.

Imagine the situation when you’ve gone to the auto parts shop, asking for a blinker fluid, only to find the storekeepers jeering at you for being so innocent.

However, let’s now get on to the list where we’ve enlisted the unusual facts about cars:

1.  The Fast and Furious Cops are in Dubai

Nope, not the movie, guys. But yes, the Dubai cops have got the fastest police cars in the world. Their speedy cars include Audi R8, Lamborghini Aventador, etc.

Most of these supercars are found to sizzle the roads of Dubai’s coastal highways or parked by the Emirate malls if not on a hunt.

2.  Whales Fed the Autos Until 1973

The criminalized car was a poor Mercedes SLS AMG that sped above 186 mph, whereas the local speed limit was about 75 mph. That rogue driver drove it so fast that the cops had to hunt it down after one-third of a mile chase.

4.  3,000,000 Million Miles: the Highest Mileage Miles Recorded by a Personal Car

How long have you driven so far in your driving lifetime? A thousand, two, or three thousand? Did you know the highest mileage a personal car has covered in its lifetime was more than 3 million miles?

Yes, it’s true! The Volvo 1880S, 1966 model, owned by Mr. Irving Gordon was put into the Guinness World Record book for the mind-blowing feat. Irvin said he literally drove a hundred thousand miles per year from New York, USA to Vancouver, Canada.

However, you might’ve heard of another car holding a mileage record of 2.85 million miles. That is a taxi that the owner Gregorios Sachinidis drove for personal and business purposes.
